How did such a small town get such a big reputation? The Urbanna Oyster Festival, of course. Virginia's official oyster festival hosts 75,000 visitors in the fall. We have a juried art show, a holiday house tour, concerts in the park, street parades, boat parades, fireworks and a monthly farmer's market, too. Throw your own party in an English garden, on the waterfront, in a pocket park or at an historic site. Get down and boogie in Urbanna, Virginia.

A classic movie at the Town Green. Bring your own chair or blanket. Come early and have a picnic, socialize and enjoy the movie! Light snacks will be available for purchase. Movie begins at dark.

Stroll along the charming streets of Urbanna while tasting samples of wine and fresh oysters (and other tasty morsels) at participating restaurants and shops. Live music. A $20.00 ticket includes a logo wine glass and map of participants.

Guest exchange event tickets* at the town green for a gift bag including a souvenir wine glass and event guide and then stroll to the participating Urbanna shops and businesses to sample wine and light snack pairings. Each guest receives a free oyster tasting. Oysters provided by Windmill Point Oysters and Miracle of Urbanna. Music will be provided during the event by tidewater region duo favorite Mercy Creek.

Put on your spookiest or funniest costume and hit the streets like you’ve never done before. Halloween is the perfect time to celebrate it here with wicked music, ghoulish friends, and spooktacular drink specials.
The crawl starts at Mi Jalisco at 7pm, at 8pm you'll crawl up to Something Different where DJ J Connection Wayne Jessie will be rocking the house. At 9pm you'll head to The Half Shell Grill where there will be a costume contest for the Scariest, Funniest and Most Original costumes.

The Polar Plunge benefits the Middlesex Family YMCA Guardian Program. Professional and amateur chefs are invited to enter the Chili Cook-Off contest. Visitors will be allowed to taste samples of the variety of chili.
