Founders Day: A Celebration of Urbanna's Colonial History

Colonial style fife and drum musicians and the “town crier” will open the day’s festivities at 51 Cross Street at 10:15am

A presentation will be conducted by re-enactors Patrick Henry and George Wythe, will give an entertaining, lively and realistic debate over the ratification of the Constitution of the United States at Urbanna Baptist Church, 121 Watling Street, Urbanna, VA at 11am.

Presentation tickets: Adults - $10, children 12 and under are free

Historian and author, Larry Chowning, will have a book signing at the Town Green, 241 Virginia Street. Snow cones will be available by the Middlesex Kiwanis Club.

The Urbanna Town Museum will be open from 11am-4pm featuring Historian, Barbara Lovelace, sharing the history of the Scottish Factor Store. Colonial games will be played in the backyard.

Middlesex County Womens Club, 210 Virginia Street will be open sharing the history of the building.

Come enjoy all the colonial events of the day in the quaint and historic town of Urbanna with its friendly and welcoming people, several excellent restaurants and multiple unique boutique shops.
